Sheraton Hotel
last night was a night I will never forget. after 4 months of planning the day finally came. before the night started my cousin, mom, & I were all nervous for various reasons. i started thinking about my dances, hoping I wouldn't mess up and what others would say. but the time finally came when everyone was dressed up and the photographer was there to take pictures. gosh I think my smile started to become fake from all the pictures and different posing positions haha. I started to see all the people come in for the cocktail hour from the balcony of the room, for once people actually came on time haha!
so there at a little plast 7pm went downstairs to say hi to everyone. gosh there were so many people, I didn't recognize some of them. I think I even said hi to some people twice haha! left the cocktail place to go into the ballroom to talk to the DJ. wow my 1st SAPRISE. my cousin made butterfly candle holders & purple boxes with Lindt chocos for giveaways :)
party finally started at 8pm with the DJ introducing my dad & I, but before that there was a surprise introduction that my mom prepared that pretty much outlined my life haha! then I danced with my dad..whew didn't really mess up and then everyone started to dance :)
Changed into another dress to dance with Paul. I was a bit nervous, since there was a lift and I wasn't sure how my dress would be haha! I wore a short purple dress and was gonna use the bracelet Presh gave me, but it was kinda loose and I was afraid it might fly off. So instead, I used the bracelet Joy gave me, since it also matched my dress. Thanks ha! hehe Once the music played I was on autopilot. I heard everyone clapping and yelling, which made me dance even better :) Thank god everything turned out well, all the practicing paid off :)
Then my dad & his friends prepared a "special" dance number. There was about 12 of them on the dance floor, then all of a sudden 'BOOM TARAT' started to play. I was laughing hysterically. It was so funny seeing them all doing the dance. I think that was the comedy of the night!
So there changed back into my long dress, since it was dinner time and we had to take table pictures. It was nice to go around and actually talk to some people :) Only went to half of the room, since I felt like dancing haha! Took a dance break then went around to the other tables.
After pictures my mom told me to change for my dance with my tito. I thought they would play the slideshow at that time, but when i got back I was in for the biggest SAPRISE of the night. My cousin had me sit in the middle of the dance floor and watch a slideshow she & her boyfriend prepared. Okay I had a feeling they had something up their sleeve, since I saw some CDs in her bag earlier, but wasn't quite sure what it was. Then all of a sudden I see my baby pictures and the song that goes "Why don't you smile my shining star"...or something to that effect. It got me laughing, cause it was so embarrassing haha! Then the song 'HAPPY' played and I totally got goosebumps because it was a video of my WHOLE family in the Philippines. They were all gathered in the living room with big smiles and laughing. At that point I felt tears about to run down my face. I realized how much I miss them so much. I covered my face to stop the tears from flowing. Then they each gave me messages...some of which were comical, thanking me for the things I've given them haha! All of them told me to go back before I work, so we could all bond again. But my tito's message really got to me about how proud he was to have a niece like me & how lucky my parents are. While watching him I had images of the past running through my head, as if I was in a movie. After my family's messages I thought it was over, so I ran to my cousin & her boyfriend and thanked them & gave them hugs & kisses.
But that wasn't the only SAPRISE. All of a sudden I see Janet Jackson a.k.a. Joy on the screen, gOsh was I shocked again! I was totally taken off guard. Her message really touched me, but I held back my tears again. Next came Presh w/ DD Bear, super touching message again, but of course comedy time at the end hehe. Then Queenie Myra with her Bulaga crown effect hehe! I was also saprised to see Tita Jo, who many said was super pretty..yehey!!! There was also a vid from Pam, but it came late na....mana talaga kay ate belle hehe. Then came a soft voice, but no picture. At first I couldn't tell who it was, since it was kinda noisy, but it was Diana! Of course the shy one with matching song...so sweet :) Ate Arvee prepared for her message, there was acting, singing & drama hehe :) Again I thought it was done, so I went up to my cousin again to thank her, but she told me to sit back down haha! She announced that there were still more messages. At that time I didn't know what else to think, since I was so overwhelmed already.
Then comes NINA on the screen, I think I kinda screamed cause I was shocked haha. My tita even came up to me to ask if it was really Nina haha! Then came Dew-Anne, who my cousins said was pretty and asked me who it was..yiheee! Next came Nina's Band, who really got me & everyone else laughing. Then it was Nyoy, who I was also surprised by. All this time I was wondering who shot the video and if they even knew who I was haha! Of course last, but not least was the SAPRISE KING! King's video made me laugh in the beginning. Shy type b? hehe. I knew at that point that all the SAPRISES were over, so for the last time went to my cousin & her bf to thank them. The DJ asked me if I wanted to say anything, but I said 'no' cause I didn't want to get too emotional haha!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who SAPRISED me with their video messages! For the first time I was really saprised and touched with the effort everyone put into it. I don't think I could put into words how much I appreciated it all. I know I've been saying THANK YOU to all of you so many times, but I really am THANKFUL for everything! SALAMAT haha!
After the saprises I wasn't sure if I could dance with my tito, so I told the DJ to just play music so everyone else could dance again and I could recompose myself. After some time I finally danced with my tito, which I feel was a disaster haha! We only practiced once and we kinda messed up, but oh well that's life haha! After that I just enjoyed the night and took pictures with everyone, but not with my camera haha!
Then came the time for my cousin to blow her birthday cake, since it was also her birthday that night. After the cake I introduced her & her boyfriend who prepared a dance #, which I choreographed. I was nervous for them haha! But all went well and they did great! :)
After the party was over, there was an afterparty in our suite that lasted until 3 am. We got in trouble cause we were so loud haha!
All in all it truely was a night I will never forget... THANK YOU to my parents, my cousin Jane, Lito, Paul, Tito Carlo, my family in the Philippines, my CHARMS, Myra's Fam, Ate Arvee, Nina, Nyoy, Dew Anne, King, Nina's Band...basta EVERYONE n lang haha!...LOVE YOU ALL!!!
